Getting to this answer may be simple for you if you are tuned in to your authentic self.  Need a tune up so you can tune in? Here's one way.

Explore:  Where are you holding yourself back or sabotaging your happiness, your wholeness? The answer to this question leads you to ask another, how does it make you feel? What feeling are you seeking or receiving from this habit?

Here's an example.  Maybe the thing you identify as your chronic area of self sabotage is over eating, over spending, over thinking, over escaping into technology? What feeling do get in the moment of the action? What feeling are you seeking?  Are they the same?  Does the feeling last? Write these answers down, see what word keeps popping up as you explore. Highlight it.  Sit with it.  What does it say to you about what you actually are trying to accomplish? My word was "need." Which led me to explore honestly what I truly NEED.   Sarah Ban Breathnach in Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy says "Usually, when the distractions of daily life deplete our energy, the first thing we eliminate is the thing we need the most: quiet, reflective time. Time to dream, time to contemplate what's working and what's not, so that we can make changes for the better."  Amen Sarah. I found I don't need another cookie, another cute yoga top, to examine why someone said something THAT WAY, or read just one more Facebook post. I need to connect to being Lori by nurturing what makes me the most authentic me.  AND this is true for everyone.  THERE IS ONLY ONE YOU IN ALL OF SPACE AND TIME.  BE YOU- everyone else is already taken.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”
